IRAs — Terms Available
IRAs are offered as Certificate of Deposits with terms from 3 to 60 months, and as a regular IRA Savings Account.
IRA/CD Terms
- 3 months
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 24 months
- 36 months
- 48 months
- 60 months
Minimum opening deposit $2,000 for the IRA CD.
Additional deposits of $500 or more may be made on 1 year IRA CDs. Deposits not permitted on all other CD terms.
Interest payment
Interest is paid at maturity for CDs with terms of one year or less. Otherwise, interest is paid annually.
You may choose to have your interest payment transferred to another Johnson Bank account.
Certificate renewal
CDs are automatically renewed at maturity unless otherwise noted on the certificate. Account owners have 10 calendar days after maturity to withdraw funds without penalty. Interest is not paid during this grace period unless the CD funds are deposited into another Johnson Bank CD.
Grace Period
The account owner has ten (10) calendar days after maturity to withdraw the funds without penalty. Interest is not paid during the grace period unless the funds from this Certificate of Deposit are deposited into another Johnson Bank Certificate of Deposit.
Early withdrawal penalty
3-month CD - 90 days simple interest
All other CD Terms - 180 days simple interest
